My last job was at Ziegler Spielplätze. They are known for its individual products made of the Robinia heartwood. Robinia is as durable as stainless steel and leaves a lot of artistical freedom. My main tasks was to design new products for a new catalogue. Most of the time those tasks were combined with pitches for a school, town or kindergarten. It was a daily struggle with the DIN EN 1176 – the biggest killjoy u can imagine.

A few months ago I did 3 western sketches just for fun. I cannot say I’m a big fan of Spaghetti Western. I addition the movies were not my motivation for drawing these sketches. Funny thing is I played a card game called Bang! and thought by myself: “You can do better than that…”.

A few weeks ago I did a new T-Shirt design. This time I took Fukushima on topic. My approach was to get people in mind, that the fishes are the really ones to suffer from the calamity. I did a few sketches in my scribblebook and thought this one would be a nice design. Well, I vetorized it and loaded it on spreadshirt. Here you can get the shirt for girls and for boys.

Goro a japanese-german artist, who is still an inspiring example to me, did a public notice for a good cause yesterday. He just did the same as I am doing now. Lucky Punch is a casual game concept by g-labs GmbH and should have become to a game like Shakes & Fidget from Playa Games. The only real difference is the scenario. The concept is settled around a puppet theater with characters like Kasper, Grandma or the Crocodile and a target group of children with the age of 6 years to adults young at heart.

The Venetians is an economy simulation online game situated in the period between 12th and 16th century produced by g-labs GmbH. The main aspects are similar to “The Patrician” or “Port Royale”. The player can travel around the mediterran sea and trade different goods. Additionally he can manage his own yard, construct buildings and start producing his own goods.

Oil Empire is an economy simulation game from 1989. The g-labs GmbH made in 2005 a Online-Game remake out of it. When I entered the company in february 2010, the game was still an ugly duckling.

Being unemployed doesn’t mean to be unoccupied. The only difference is the lack of money. So I got me an account at spreadshirt. It’s one of those platforms where you can create T-shirts with your on motifs. All you have to do is to upload your image as a vector- or pixel file. If you’re lucky and people buy it, you can earn a selfdefined commision per sold shirt. And I it’s a very good way for designers to bandy their ideas about.
